Privacy Policy

Listing Exporter (“we,” “us,” or the “Service”) is a Chrome extension and companion website that lets you export real-estate listings from Redfin and Zillow into your own Google Sheets. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the browser extension and to listingexporter.xyz.

The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your account and your exports. Your listing data is written directly into a Google Sheet that you own — we don’t store the contents of your spreadsheets on our servers, and we never sell your data.

Information we collect

We collect only what the Service needs to function:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a Google account identifier, which we use to create and identify your account.
• Subscription and billing. If you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We store only a Stripe customer and subscription identifier and your current plan status. We never see or store your full card number.
• Usage counts. We record how many full-page exports you run each day, so we can apply free-tier limits. This is a count, not the exported content.
• Google user data. With your permission, the extension accesses Google Sheets and Google Drive to create spreadsheets and write your exported listings. This is described in detail below.
• Listing data. When you run an export, the extension reads the listing details shown on the Redfin or Zillow page you are viewing (for example address, price, beds, baths). This is processed in your browser and written to your Google Sheet.

Google user data and API scopes

To do its job, the extension requests two Google permissions through Google’s standard consent screen:

• Google Sheets (.../auth/spreadsheets) — to create a spreadsheet and write your exported listings into it, including headers, rows, and worksheet tabs.
• Google Drive — file-scoped (.../auth/drive.file) — a per-file permission that only covers spreadsheets the extension itself created. It lets you see and reuse those spreadsheets in the extension. The extension cannot see any other files in your Google Drive.

Access happens directly between your browser and Google using a short-lived access token managed by Chrome. We do not store your Google access tokens on our servers, and the contents of your spreadsheets are never sent to or stored by us — they go straight into your own Drive.

Limited Use disclosure

Listing Exporter’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we only use Google user data to provide and improve the export features you request, we do not transfer or sell it to third parties, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it except as necessary for security, to comply with the law, or with your explicit consent.

How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account and sign you in.
• To run the exports you request and write them to your Google Sheets.
• To apply free-tier limits and manage paid subscriptions.
• To provide support and keep the Service secure and working.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

How your information is shared

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service:

• Supabase — hosts our database and authentication (your account record, plan status, and usage counts).
• Stripe — processes payments and stores your billing details under its own privacy policy.
• Google — provides sign-in and the Sheets and Drive APIs your exports use.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at shiva.bhutani0@gmail.com. Spreadsheets the extension created remain in your own Google Drive and are yours to keep or delete; you can also revoke the extension’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

Data security

We use reputable providers (Supabase, Stripe, Google) and standard measures such as encryption in transit to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep the amount of data we hold small and the Service safe.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
